KEHINDE WILEY
With this project, I was able to incorporate the background of some of his portraits. Into his portrait of himself. There’s also some of his design from one of his portraits that I incorporated into the design. The reason for choosing Kehinde Wiley was because of his unique style of painting. By bringing history and style together in his portraits.
I love his portraits and how he draws inspiration from the old master paintings to craft his portrait paintings. I created a digital portrait to integrate his style. A photo of himself was used. Kehinde Wiley to Receive the U.S. Department of State Medal of Arts (ARTnews.com) I used the backgrounds of Kehind's paintings and created a design on his shirt. Kehinde's portraits are very inspiring, and I wanted to be sure to incorporate those into my digital portrait.
